COCK-A-DOODLIN'!

April's hopping us back across the pond.

After several great band gigs, Saturday mornings at le Marche and les aperitifs with friends, we're winding through the back roads of Ohio almost to our second home. I'm late this month, completely forgot while packing up French life. Late with the intrigue ... ha! (No, too old for that. 😜) It's been a weird month as the anniversary of my Dad's passing has been whispering in my ear. I didn't want to celebrate it, I prefer to let it whisper on by and focus on more beautiful memories of him. My Dad's dear sweet doggie Missy passed away this week. She will be greatly missed especially by her brother Bud. Life in the house will be quiet with out her funny face and vicious bark. We've got some exciting musical moments coming up so mark your calendars!

TREATS!!! Frenchie "Zerts" (desert) 🍩🍰🍪

Well, I took a pause for 4 weeks while in France and then I watched YouTube videos by The Glucose Goddess who is a French biochemist specializing in glucose spikes ... because she, like me, loves sweet treats. She has some hacks to keep your glucose from spiking as much when eating these delicious treats. I've been testing them and they do seem to work. First pictured is a layered bar cookie with a shortbread base, caramel and chocolate. I saw these a lot in the UK, this French version is device! So when you come visit us in Bernay, France we'll take you for one. Next is the Pain au Chocolate (chocolate croissant), a classic! Last are French donuts made by an American in Paris. I have to say the last time we had them they were a lot better, this time ... meh.

I've been officially certified to be one of the first teachers to carry on the Cole Vocal Method!!! Yeah!!! It was a year and a half training with six years of study with Cari Cole. The technique is top notch and I can't wait to share it.
